To ensure a successful academic career at Xavier University and to correlate with United States licensure guidelines, please complete the following prerequisites.

For 5 ¹⁄₂ Year MD Program (to begin in the Pre-Medical Program @ Aruba)

• High School Diploma
• Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• SAT: 1200 (old system) 1800 (new system) or ACT 26
• TOFEL: 231 (for other than USA, UK, or Canadian students)
• IELTS: 6.0 (for other than USA, UK, or Canadian students)

For 4 Year MD Program

All applicants applying for 4 year MD Program are required to finish at least 2 academic years & 90 credit hours of undergraduate studies with a cumulative gpa of 3.0, including the following subjects:

• (8 credit hours) of Inorganic or General Chemistry (with labs)
• (8 credit hours) of Organic Chemistry (with labs)
• (8 credit hours) of General Biology (with labs)
• (8 credit hours) of Physics (with labs)
• (6 credit hours) of English
• (8 credit hours) of Pre-Calculus/Calculus

These requirements are determined by State Medical Boards and are required for future licensure in the respective states.
